The AWS Infrastructure Operation Logistics is looking for a Logistics Specialist to join our expanding team. Logistics Specialists review Data Center inventory, inbound shipments, and ongoing demand to ensure that proper stock levels are maintained in all locations to support build and repair activities. If you would like to dive deep into the inventory consumption, control and accuracy, we’d like to meet you. Your work will ensure overall availability and reliability to meet or exceed defined service levels of data center operations by being a part of operating the world’s largest cloud computing infrastructure. Understand all aspects of transportation, shipping and receiving as well as inventory control, adhere to strict safety standards, maintain very high quality, and be willing and able to work on powered equipment (i.e server lifter). Completing manual tasks, such as assembling, addressing and arranging for the shipment of materials, handling incoming shipments, unpack boxes and verify contents. Load and unload large equipment utilizing pallet jacks. Working with the Logistics Manager, create plans to optimize the flow and delivery of parts through their lifecycle; tracking inventory locations and movement. Working closely with Datacenter Operations Technicians to fulfill parts and equipment deliveries quickly and accurately. Working with Procurement teams to ensure that inbound equipment orders are complete and delivered to appropriate Data Center Locations. Receive parts, maintain inventory, and check-out parts as needed to Data Center Technicians and Engineers. Load and unload shipments and transport parts, racks, and equipment between different locations, including localized driving of a variety of transportation vehicles. Occasionally work is in an office environment. Data entry and resolving questions from peer organizations. Maintain up-to-date metrics dashboards and or excel spreadsheets and will create reports for internal and external customer and management as required. Ensure that all billing associated with the Inventory supply chain is accurate, validated and ready for processing. Assist in daily scheduling of deliveries and pick-ups to and from production locations. must be able to shift priorities without friction. Diverse Experiences: AWS values diverse experiences.
