My client is a very fast cloud software organisation with a unique solution to the pharmaceutical, biotech, CPG and Chemical industry, enabling them to get critical products to market faster.Location: Poland/Switzerland preferably Or Remote within the European Union.We are looking for a Head of Engineering to manage, grow and hire a team of developers/engineers.The ideal candidate will have proven experience building a software engineering organisation of approximately 30‑50 people. The team will comprise agile software engineers, QA and TechOps.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and drive 4‑5 technical teams simultaneously.Deep technical expertise and ability to review code (A MUST).Make decisions in respect to IT and infrastructure.Develop B2B scalable platform, API and web and mobile system architecture in conjunction with business stakeholders.Required Experience & Qualifications10+ years of experience in software engineering, with 5+ years in a leadership role.Fluent in English. Other European language a plus.Proven track record of delivering large‑scale, business‑critical SaaS products that run 24/7.Hands‑on experience with cloud‑native architectures, distributed systems, and high‑availability platforms.Strong expertise in release management, patch deployment, and continuous delivery strategies.Experience managing feature teams focused on continuous product delivery in an agile environment.Ability to unblock technical challenges, mentor engineers, and lead by example.Expertise with Git/GitHub workflows, including peer review (PR) best practices, branching strategies, and CI/CD integrations.Previous experience working with nearshore/offshore teams and scaling engineering organisations is an asset.Ability to break down product functional requirements into technical development plans and PoCs, ensuring feasibility and alignment with business goals.Please send your CV in complete confidence to: PLEASE NOTE: ONLY CANDIDATES WITH VALID EU/SWISS RESIDENT PERMITS WILL BE CONSIDERED.
