Within the Operations department of AXA XL Iberia, you will join the Middle Office team that aims to provide high-quality service for our clients, creating and activating insurance coverage on complex risks.
As Underwriting Assistant, you will be responsible for the administrative processes of the end-to-end policy life cycle to be run efficiently at a high quality to serve internal and external clients.
Responsibilities:
- Contracts handling in an efficient and correct way for new and established Specialty businesses:
- Checking the conditions of acceptance of the customer’s request and interacting with the customer if necessary, using various available data sources to make the right decision and give the right advice to the broker/client.
- Following up until contract signing or refusal.
- Developing draft contracts/amendments that fit with customer needs.
- Modifying coverage concepts if desired by the client/broker.
- Preparing contracts which are beyond authority and discussing them with the team leader.
- Monitoring, planning, and issuing contractual documents (policies, endorsements, and certificates).
- Support Credit Control team in cash allocation for accounts and the monitoring of outstanding unpaid premiums.
- Manage information:
- Preparing and sending weekly reports.
- Preparing premium flows.
- Preparing and sending local policies instructions.
- Controlling Gross and Net portfolio.
- Controlling data quality.
- Follow up new guidelines published for policy administration and Global Programs management.
You will report to the Team Lead Specialty - Operations.
We are looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:
- Fluent in Spanish and English (minimum C1 level CEFR).
- Strong and effective organizational skills, ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Effective relationship management with internal clients and brokers as well as across the AXA XL and AXA Group enterprise.
- Ability to adapt and respond to a changing environment with flexibility and innovation.
- Good team player, capable of self-learning and able to work within a team environment.
- Proactive attitude facing challenges.
- Proficient use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
