data & ai governance manager

Mission A data and AI governance lead is responsible for leading an organization's AI governance and Data governance program. This involves developing and implementing policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure that: An environment is created that fosters innovation in AI while tracking the value generated, regulatory compliance, and adherence to Almirall's ethical principles. Data is managed effectively, securely using FAIR principles in compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Tasks and responsibilities: Developing and maintaining a comprehensive AI and Data governance framework that aligns with the organization's overall goals, objectives, and capabilities. Evolving and executing AI Governance processes to inventory AI models, assess their risks.  Design and implement an AI Observability process to follow-up AI use cases value, effectiveness, compliance and adherence to Almirall's ethical principles. Defining and implementing data governance policies and procedures, including data quality standards, data classification, data retention policies, ensuring we are compliant with regulatory requirements. Collaborating with key stakeholders across the organization (including director level) to establish and enforce data governance standards and guidelines. Ensure those key stakeholders are accountable for their data domain. This includes training if it is necessary. Product owner of Almirall's AI Governance tool, receiving inputs from main stakeholders, prioritizing all requirements, and including them for IT execution. Developing and delivering communication plans and training programs to ensure that all employees understand their responsibilities for managing and protecting data. Establishing and maintaining effective communication channels with stakeholders to ensure that data governance policies and procedures are understood and followed. Identifying and managing risks related to Data & AI governance, including data breaches and non-compliance with regulations and standards. Keeping up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in AI & Data governance and making recommendations for their adoption. Overall, a Data & AI governance manager is a key player in ensuring that an organization's data and AI models are managed effectively and in compliance with relevant regulations and standards. The role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of data governance principles and best practices, knowledge about "no code" AI technologies, and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the organization (including director level), including ability to influence them. It is a key translator between business areas and technology. Experience: Minimum of  4 years of experience in data products, data technologies and data governance or a related field. Experience in data management be familiar with data architecture, data modeling, data integration, data analysis, and data visualization. Education : Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, information management, or business administration. Specific Knowledge: Fluent in English and Spanish, both spoken and written. Strong understanding of data governance principles and best practices, including data classification, data quality, data retention, and data security. Knowledge of AI as user, and desirably knowledge of "no code" AI tools. Regulatory compliance knowledge: strong understanding of data-related and AI regulations and standards, such as GDPR. Desirably high-level knowledge of data services/platforms like Power BI and Datalake Skills Excellent communication skills: communicate effectively with stakeholders across the organization, including executives, business users, and technical staff, including the ability to present technical results to a non-technical audience and the capability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment. Project management skills: manage projects effectively, establish timelines, and deliver projects on time and within budget. Why work with Almirall?
