Job DescriptionThe Medical Billing Specialist is an important member of our team for Spain (and in the future potentially Portugal) based in our office in Madrid. This role is initially reporting into the Senior Director, International Accounting (based in London, UK). The Medical Billing Specialist is responsible for the timely and accurate invoicing of all incoming sales orders working closely with the Customer Care team and our third-party service providers. Be part of an up-and-coming business and help us to actively shape it and become part of our success as we launch Omnipod in Spain. ResponsibilitiesYou will work closely with our customer care team that processes the incoming orders from our customers and/or their health care professional. You will be responsible for the timely and accurate invoicing of all our incoming sales orders to the relevant payers, working closely with our third-party service providers. You will have to check that all required documentation for successful invoicing and collection is registered in our customer system and/ or ERP system. You are responsible for ensuring that payers are contacted timely and adequately in case of invoice or collection issues either directly or indirectly via our third party service providers. As required, you will also provide information to the International Accounting team related to the status of invoicing and collections. Required QualificationsTraining and experience As a minimum, completed vocational training with initial work experience in finance and/or medical field (health insurance company, clinic, medical supply store, etc.). A good understanding of the Spanish health care system as well as reimbursement channels, prescriptions for medical aids, medical billing, etc. in the various regions are an advantage. Relevant experience in customer service as well as a friendly and competent manner when talking to payers and other stakeholders. Protecting customer data is extremely important: therefore, bring a conscious, trusting approach to it. Skills Good knowledge of Office 365 programmes (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Attention to detail. SAP and Salesforce knowledge is a plus. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Spanish speaking and good to fluent in English. Self-motivated and positive team player.
