As a collaborative team member you will enrich the unique culture and energy of our department as it continues to evolve.The Impact: As a Sustainability Research Specialist you will research, assess and define corporate sustainability practices contributing to the creation of the essential sustainability intelligence our clients need.Responsibilities:Analyze corporate sustainability performance across selected sectors using our proprietary CSA methodologyAct and act as the sector knowledge leader in selected sectors as well as specific underlying ESG topics.Monitor and review ongoing company controversies through comprehensive Media & Stakeholder Analysis (MSA)Research emerging global sustainability trends and industry-specific ESG challenges using proprietary and public datasetsContribute to the development and maintenance of S&P Global’s Corporate Sustainability Assessment methodologyEngage directly with participating companies through feedback calls webcasts and management meetingsCoordinate sustainability research projects with key internal and external stakeholders across global marketsQualifications:Masters degree in sustainability environmental science business finance or related field2 years of experience in ESG ratings research corporate sustainability or sustainability investingStrong analytical skills with excellent attention to detailSound understanding of global sustainability reporting frameworks and emerging ESG trendsAdvanced Excel proficiency and ability to work with complex datasetsStrong project management capabilities with proven ability to plan and execute work assignments under tight deadlines both independently and as part of a diverse international teamSelf‑motivated organized detail‑oriented and possessing a positive can‑do attitude.Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English with the ability to present complex information to clients and stakeholders in an easily understandable manner.
