Investment Banking Associate, Generalist William Blair – Madrid Office William Blair is a premier global partnership offering advisory services, strategies, and solutions across regions and asset classes. Location Madrid, Community of Madrid, Spain Responsibilities Perform extensive financial and valuation analyses for mergers, acquisitions, and capital raising transactions. Build advanced financial models, leveraging deep understanding of valuation and finance/accounting topics. Lead due diligence, research, and documentation of potential and live transactions. Actively participate in presentation development, hypothesis testing, and client meetings. Develop proposals and marketing materials to showcase William Blair’s investment banking solutions. Provide training and mentorship to less experienced staff and serve as on‑the‑job trainer for analysts. Ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. Additional responsibilities as requested. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree required. Fluent in Spanish and English essential. Detail oriented with strong analytical abilities. Excellent mathematical, writing, verbal, and computer skills. Ability to adapt to new tasks with little notice. Manage expectations of senior bankers while working on multiple projects simultaneously. Effective leadership and coaching skills. Strong desire to win. Sound judgment and deep, sophisticated understanding of accounting and finance. Commitment to satisfying internal and external customers. Travel required: approximately 10% to 30%.
