You will be the one to calculate wages based on hours worked and administer payments.

What do you have to offer?

  • Experience as a payroll specialist.
  • Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices.
  • Knowledge of legislation and regulations of the field.
  • Written and spoken proficiency in French.
  • English will be used as a main communication language within the company.
  • Ability to empathize with users and prioritize their needs.
  • Curiosity and a desire to investigate how things work.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to handle complaints and challenging customers.
  • Team player who can work efficiently and independently.

Which tasks can you expect?

  • Gather information on hours worked for each employee.
  • Calculate the correct amount incorporating overtime, deductions, bonuses, etc. with assistance from a computer system.
  • Receive approval from upper management for payments when needed.
  • Prepare and execute pay orders through an electronic system or distribute paychecks.
  • Administer statements of payment to personnel either electronically or on paper.
  • Process taxes and payment of employee benefits.
  • Keep track of hour rates, wages, compensation benefit rates, new hire information, etc.
  • Address issues and questions regarding payroll from employees and superiors.
  • Handle requests and potential complaints from customers.
  • Prepare reports for upper management and the finance department.
