Rotating Equipment Reliability Engineer Job Summary : Flowserve is seeking a Rotating Equipment Reliability Engineer to provide expert technical support for pumps and mechanical seals at key customers within S pain and Italy . Your primary goal will be to increase MTBR of End User rotating equipment as part of Flowserves Life Cycle Advantage (LCA) programs. Y ou will act as a t echnical e xpert and troubleshooter for centrifugal pumps and mechanical seals a s well as specialist seal ing on other rotating equipment such as steam turbines compressors centrifuges mixers and agitators. Your Role : You will a nalyze equipment failure trends across large populations of Customers rotating machines identifying focus areas for reducing the overall number of repairs within LCA programs. F or complex B ad A ctors and critical failures y ou will assess damaged components and determine the physical interactions that led to the observed defects . U s i n g Root Cause Analysis method s you will d ig deeper into the machine pumping systems repair processes and operating practices to define the underlying reason s for failure . Led by your RCA y ou will define the appropriate solutions such as equipment upgrades to latest technology or changes in operating pr ocedures and practices . Where equipment upgrades are you will identify opportunities where Flowserve equipment and / or services can help to increase reliability reduce energy consumption or reduce operational costs . You will then support the relevant Engineering Teams and Sales as they generate the proposal. Working as part of a team of Engineers supporting LCA programs across Europe and the Middle East you will be responsible for key c ustomers in Spain and Italy . You will work directly with End User s visiting their facilities as necessary to perform your function. You will also work closely w ith LCA Application Engineers S ales and various other specialist Flowserve Engineering team s. Your Profile : Essential Qualifications : 3 years p revious experience as a Rotating Equipment Engineer Machinery Engineer or similar Engineering role with significant exposure to rotating equipment. Previous experience of troubleshooting centrifugal p ump s and / or m echanical s eal s . Previous experience performing and leading Root Cause Failure Analysis . Excellent data analytics skills with a high proficiency in M icrosoft Excel. Degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering field Highly proficient in both Spanish and English ( minimum CEFR grade C1 or equivalent although formal qualification not ) . Desirable Criteria and Qualifications : Working knowledge of API-610 and API-682 W orking knowledge in condition monitoring techniques (vibration monitoring oil analysis etc ). Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) or Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) Experience with Steam Turbines Compressors Centrifuges Mixers & Agitators. Location : Candidate must be located within Spain i deally near Tarragona . H ome working from other locations within Spain will also be considered. Position requires approximately 60% travel .
