Head of Oracle Technologies at Next Ventures Job Specification: Oracle ERP Licensing Governance Specialist Duration: ~2 months (start ASAP, no later than early January; potential extension) Objectives of the Assignment The consultant will be responsible for helping the client establish a sustainable model for licence and security governance across Oracle Cloud ERP & PPM. Key deliverables include: 1. Reporting & Monitoring Design and implement dedicated reporting and KPIs to monitor licence usage across the entire Oracle ERP & HCM scope. Build dashboards that provide visibility into active role assignments, usage trends, and potential non-compliance. Ensure reporting supports ongoing decision‑making and operational governance. 2. Role & Security Governance Assessment Conduct a deep‑down audit of security roles, privileges, and usage patterns—especially around PPM and Finance roles. Identify root causes of over‑assignment (e.g., multiple Project Managers per project, unnecessary elevated roles, legacy assignments). Provide clear recommendations for role rationalisation , segregation‑of‑duties improvements, and governance updates. Develop a clear, actionable remediation plan to: Reduce licence consumption to contracted levels Adjust system setups and workflows Strengthen governance and future controls Begin execution of the action plan during the engagement (quick‑wins, initial corrections, workflow updates, etc.). 3. Optional Future Scope (Potential Extension) Review and refresh the security matrix . Perform a Segregation of Duties (SoD) assessment and propose improved controls. Support longer‑term governance operating model setup. Required Skills & Experience Core Requirements Deep expertise in Oracle Cloud ERP & PPM , especially around:Role design and privilegesLicensing models and usage driversPPM and Finance functional processes Proven experience managing or auditing Oracle licence consumption and understanding the link between roles, privileges, and licensing . Strong understanding of security governance , role optimisation, and compliance fundamentals. Ability to perform hands‑on analysis of system roles, configurations, and assignments. Experience building licence and security dashboards / KPIs within Oracle Cloud. Consulting Approach Ability to quickly assess, diagnose, and develop a structured action plan . Pragmatic and analytical mindset—able to challenge existing practices and propose improvements. Strong communication skills, capable of working with IT, Finance, PMO, and Oracle stakeholders. Nice-to-Have Experience with SOX compliance , Segregation of Duties frameworks, and security control design. Background in Oracle cloud governance frameworks . Experience supporting clients in discussions with Oracle regarding licensing.
