Galileo RF Test Campaign Engineer – NetherlandsGMV Tres Cantos, Community of Madrid, Spain (Remote available)We are expanding our teams in the Satellite Navigation Systems sector to join the Galileo Programme.Role OverviewAs a Galileo RF Test Campaign Engineer you will provide on-site system engineering and integration support at ESA ESTEC (Noordwijk, The Netherlands) for the Galileo Programme, the European Union’s global satellite navigation system.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and execute RFCT campaigns (S-, C-, and L-band) for Galileo 1st and 2nd Generation systems, ensuring compliance with test objectives and coordination with ESA and industrial partners.Support test execution involving Ground Segment elements, Satellite Suitcases, and User Receivers, ensuring proper setup, operation, and data collection during RF compatibility tests.Monitor test progress and system behaviour, identify anomalies, and coordinate troubleshooting with relevant engineering teams.Record, analyse, and document test results, producing detailed RFCT logs and reports in accordance with project and ESA standards.Contribute to test readiness and review milestones, participating in TRR, PTR, TRB, and other checkpoints as required.Support Security and Robustness test activities (Sec-chain AIV) preceding RFCT execution, ensuring test environment integrity.Ensure consistency with qualification and acceptance test programmes, supporting adherence to verification requirements.Maintain configuration control of test setups and equipment, ensuring accurate documentation and version tracking.Participate in coordination and control boards (e.g., MTP, NRB, VCB, CCB) related to RFCT campaign activities and outcomes.Provide technical inputs and status updates to ESA and project stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of progress, issues, and results.Required QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Telecommunications, Electronics, or a related technical field.Experience in RF testing, satellite ground segment operations, or system integration within the space sector.Knowledge of RF communication systems and familiarity with RFCT execution.Proficiency with RF measurement instruments (spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power meters, etc.) and test automation tools.Experience in test data analysis, documentation, and reporting.Desired SkillsExperience with GNSS systems (Galileo, GPS, etc.) and RF signal performance analysis.Knowledge of AIV processes and review milestones.Linux systems and scripting (Python, Bash) for test automation and data handling.What We OfferHybrid working model with 8 weeks of teleworking per year.Flexible start and finish times; intensive working hours on Fridays and in summer.Personalised career plan, training, and language learning support.National and international mobility; relocation package available.Competitive compensation with ongoing reviews.Wellbeing program: health, dental, accident insurance, free fruit and coffee, physical, mental and financial health training.ContactInterested candidates should reach out to Magdalena Kalinowska , vacancy contact.
