GFIC is looking fo Technical Support Specialist Experience with hydrocolloids (carrageenan, pectin, fibres) or stabiliser systems. Location: Flexible / Barcelona My Client is a specialist ingredients company focused on textural solutions and hydrocolloids (carrageenan, tara, pectin, functional fibres) for food, personal care, cosmetics and pharmaceutical markets. We combine hands‑on application expertise, tailored technical support and international distribution to solve customers’ texture, stability and processing challenges. We are hiring a Technical Support Specialist to provide market‑focused product recommendations, technical trainings and hands‑on support from lab trials to industrial scale‑up. Aufgaben Propose rapid, market‑appropriate product recommendations from our portfolio. Guide customers through lab, pilot and industrial trials; provide troubleshooting and adaptations. Train and coach sales colleagues on product benefits, differences and commercial value. Record recommendations, trial results and customer feedback in company databases; keep records current. Run lab demo sessions and client trainings; accompany sales visits when technical expertise is needed. Create technical marketing materials (bulletins, presentation slides, videos, whitepapers). Support trade show preparation, tastings and prototype demos. Qualifikation What we’re looking for Degree or advanced technician qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, Food Biochemistry or related field. Minimum 5 years’ experience in product development, applications or production within food companies. Strong knowledge of GLP, food safety (HACCP), hygiene, basic metrology and relevant market regulations. Excellent spoken and written English; bilingualism is an advantage. Comfortable with laboratory work and customer‑facing technical support; open to travel. Strong organisation, autonomy, teamwork and clear technical communication skills. Nice to have Experience with hydrocolloids (carrageenan, pectin, fibres) or stabiliser systems. Prior technical sales or applications role supporting B2B food customers. Experience producing technical content for digital channels. What success looks like High rate of successful pilot → industrial transfers. Faster time from recommendation to trial start.
