Senior Indirect Tax Compliance & Risk Specialist Date: Jan 7, 2026Location: Sant Just Desvern, B, ES, 08960City : Sant Just Desvern State : Barcelona (ES-B) Country : Spain (ES) Requisition Number: 42883We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Compliance & Risk Specialist to join our team within Bunge EMEA. In this role, you will support the operational implementation of risk & compliance legislation and ensure a correct, compliant, and well-controlled indirect tax administration. Working closely with, and reporting to, the Indirect Tax Transformation & Technology Manager (who holds overall responsibility for compliance and risk), you will play a key role in supporting our Bunge Business Services (BBS) teams. Your expertise will be vital in executing indirect tax processes and helping maintain a strong “in control” environment across our various countries and entities.Note : you are ideally located in Barcelona to obtain this job.Main Accountabilities:Indirect Tax Compliance Execution: Ensure accurate and timely execution of VAT and other Indirect Tax obligations across Bunge EMEA, maintaining effective internal controls and a strong "in control" environment.Risk Identification and Mitigation: Identify compliance risks, resolve compliance issues, and take practical actions to minimize the organization's indirect tax exposure.Process Documentation and Improvement: Support the development and maintenance of process manuals, reporting guidelines, and operational procedures, while contributing to process optimization and automation initiatives.Knowledge & Skills:Strong Indirect Tax Expertise: Solid understanding of VAT and other indirect taxes within the EMEA region, including compliance requirements and reporting processes.Analytical and Problem-Solving Ability: Skilled in interpreting complex tax and financial data, identifying compliance risks, and providing practical, business-focused solutions.Process and Control Mindset: Able to assess and improve compliance processes, maintain effective internal controls, and contribute to process automation and standardization.Technical Skills:MS Office, including advanced Excel proficiency.SAP experience.Education & Experience:Bachelor's degree in Tax, Accounting, or Finance.Significant experience in Indirect Tax, preferably within an international environment.Proven experience in VAT compliance.Experience with ERP systems.At Bunge, people don’t just come here to work, they come here to grow – solving challenges that directly impact the world with a diverse team of thinkers and doers.If this description reflects your profile or ambition, we’re looking forward to seeing your application and motivation in English by hitting applyIn case of questions, please reach out to Aitor Alonso (Talent Acquisition at ).Acquisition by agencies is not appreciated; we do not use agencies at this moment for our recruitment.
