About BSC The Barcelona Supercomputing Center – Centro Nacional de Supercomputación (BSC-CNS) is the leading supercomputing center in Spain. Position Job Reference 26_26_DIR_ET_ETOJob title Education & Training OfficerClosing Date Monday, 16 February 2026 Context and Mission The Education and Training team at BSC coordinates activities and fosters collaborations in the field of High Performance Computing (HPC) with leading universities, research institutions, and supercomputing centers at the local, national, and European levels. Our mission is to support the development of the next generation of HPC professionals and strengthen Europe’s competitiveness in supercomputing through high‑quality, accessible training initiatives. Key Duties Contribute actively and creatively to the success of internationally coordinated HPC education and training initiatives Support strategic decision‑making in HPC education in Europe through active engagement with partners, integration of feedback, and coordination of communications with international stakeholders Assist with day‑to‑day project management, including meeting organisation, internal reporting, and tracking of milestones and deliverables to ensure timely contributions from BSC Coordinate and support training events, seminars, and meetings for various audiences at both national and international levels Contribute to the preparation of professional reports, documentation, and national or international grant proposals Support the design and implementation of the BSC training program in alignment with evolving European strategies and project frameworks Provide administrative and logistical support to the Education & Training team as needed Requirements Education Master’s degree in a relevant field (Education, Computer Science, Project Management, Science Communication, or similar) Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience Fluency in English (spoken and written)Ability to effectively manage time and organise information to ensure the smooth functioning of multiple ongoing activities in parallelCompetence using office software and tools to edit documents, create presentations, and store and analyse dataCompetence participating in, hosting, and presenting during online and hybrid meetings Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience Experience in EU‑funded project environments or international collaborative projects is a plusFamiliarity with HPC, digital skills training, or higher education frameworks is a plusKnowledge of data management and GDPR principles is a plusExperience with coordination of academic or technical events and training is a plus Competences Teamwork and collaborationAttention to detail and ability to meet deadlinesProactive, problem‑solving attitudeAbility to engage with diverse international stakeholdersOrganisation skills to handle multiple assignmentsCommunication skillsAbility to work independently, in a team, and in a multicultural environment Conditions The position is located at BSC within the Department We offer a full‑time contract (37.5 h/week), a highly stimulating environment with state‑of‑the‑art infrastructure, flexible working hours, extensive training plan, restaurant tickets, private health insurance, and support to the relocation procedures Duration: Open‑ended contract due to technical and scientific activities linked to the project and budget duration Holidays: 22 days of holidays + 6 personal days + 24th and 31st of December per our collective agreement Salary: Competitive salary commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the candidate and according to the cost of living in Barcelona Starting date: asap Applications Procedure and Process All applications must be submitted via the BSC website and contain:A full CV in English including contact details A cover/motivation letter with a statement of interest in English, clearly specifying the area and topics for which the applicant wishes to be considered.
