If this resonates with you, we’re excited to welcome you as our Team Lead for Ruby on Rails Development Your Position As the Team Lead, you will guide and inspire a team of 5-7 talented Ruby on Rails developers. Your mission is to foster a collaborative, growth-oriented environment where team members can thrive while ensuring our code quality and projects exceed expectations. You will lead by example, contribute to the codebase, and champion best practices in development and team management. Your every day work routine Leadership & Mentorship : You can juggle and prioritize multiple projects. You are a good judge of when and how to say “no” to requests. Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to your team, fostering an environment of trust, learning, and collaboration. Hands‑On Development : Lead by example through active participation in coding, testing, and reviewing our codebase. Code Quality Assurance : Maintain and elevate code quality standards within the team. Conduct code reviews and ensure robust testing processes are followed. Iterative collaboration : Our product and engineering teams work iteratively to focus on delivering business value quickly and efficiently. We follow the principles of KISS and YAGNI, and are always pragmatic in our decision‑making. Problem Solving : You don’t stop at patching bugs. You also ask “How can we avoid this in the future?”. Take ownership of issues, investigate root causes, and implement sustainable fixes to maintain system reliability. Team Culture : Advocate for a fun and fulfilling workplace. You keep things constantly moving. You are responsive. Async Communication : We prefer the async way via Slack: 90% of communication is async and in written form (via Slack and GitHub). Your profile Technical Expertise: 6+ years of experience as a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer. Proven experience in Full Stack Development and diverse project environments, preferably in startups. Ideally experience in a B2B SaaS company. Leadership Experience: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, preferably with prior experience managing developers. Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to resolve conflicts constructively. Passion for Quality: A commitment to high standards, including clean code, thorough testing, and continuous improvement.
