Data & Analytics is a specialist business unit within Oliver Wyman, set up in 2017 in Newcastle-upon-Tyne and has since expanded across Europe, including Milan, Berlin, Madrid, and Athens. The practice is a dynamic, fast-growing team of quantitative analytics specialists. We work closely with our colleagues across Oliver Wyman to cover a global footprint, working across multiple industries including but not limited to Financial Services, Insurance, Retail, and Transportation.

We are recruiting for talented Associate Team Leaders or Team Leaders.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

The role will focus on managing projects. A Team Leader would typically work on one or more projects at a time. Project work typically involves design and implementation of data products from both analytical and software points of view:

1. Software and data architecture design
2. Product development and integration
3. Developing hypotheses
4. Managing data collection, model creation, and analyses
5. Conducting primary and secondary research
6. Creatively tackling information limitations
7. Surfacing insights and overseeing the work of analysts

Client presentations and interaction for decision-making related to technical aspects of the project.

Using Partners and the internal network effectively to provide technical and senior-level steer to projects.

Working in a team together with clients to complete project deliverables to high standards.

Maintaining energy and positive work-life balance of the team.

Coaching Oliver Wyman and client team members to develop their skills.

WHO CAN APPLY?

Associate Team Leader - At least 3 years of previous working experience
Team Leader - At least 5 years of previous working experience

Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline (desirable). Ideally Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, Informatics, Data Science, or Engineering.

Strong analysis, documentation, and communication skills.

Experience in using advanced analytics such as Python (must), Matlab and R (desirable), and data manipulation software such as SAS and SQL.

Experience with data products development and productization at scale: development lifecycle, maintenance, agile methodologies.

Work effectively and collaboratively in a team.

Be independent and work under limited supervision respecting defined timelines.

Present results effectively, highlighting potential issues and implications.

Excellent command of Spanish and English language (verbal and written).

Ability to manage a demanding work volume and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Willingness to travel regularly.
