The Torrelavega Regional Procurement team is part of the EMEA Regional procurement organization department, focusing on sourcing and purchasing activities for the Torrelavega site in collaboration with Category buyers and site stakeholders.

Job Description

We are seeking a Junior Regional Procurement Site Buyer to support the management of all sourcing and tactical purchasing activities for the Torrelavega site in accordance with the Solvay Procurement Governance and in collaboration with the Solvay Corporate purchasing organization as part of the Regional Procurement organization.

This role involves working closely with senior buyers and Category buyers to assume responsibility for plant spending in relevant domains, manage local contracts within authority limits, and implement regional/global contracts.

You will also identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs and mitigate risks, monitor KPIs, and implement improvements or corrective actions as necessary.

In addition, you will be responsible for implementing procurement strategies and action plans at the site/site network level based on global procurement guidance principles.

Responsibilities
  • Manage purchasing requisitions, including requests for quotations, offers management, negotiation, order and contract management, suppliers evaluation, claims management using the SAP tool and SRM7 module.
  • Assume responsibility for plant spending in relevant domains in collaboration with senior buyers and Category buyers.
  • Manage local contracts within authority limits.
  • Implement regional/global contracts in coordination with Category buyers.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs and mitigate risks.
  • Monitor KPIs and implement improvements or corrective actions as necessary.
  • Implement procurement strategies and action plans at the site/site network level based on global procurement guidance principles.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant education degree or equivalent in Engineering, Science, or Economics, Business Administration.
  • Relevant work experience in Industrial or Logistics with a minimum of 2 years.
  • Fluency in Spanish (native level).
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) C1 minimum.
  • Experience in digital procurement, such as SAP Ariba (Eauction), and SAP knowledge (e.g., MM module).
What We Offer

We offer a 6-month fixed-term contract (with an option to move to permanent) based on an onsite working mode, a competitive salary range of €35,000 - €45,000 per year, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
