About the Role

WatchGuard Technologies, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled SOC Manager to lead our Managed Detection and Response (MDR) Service team. As a key member of our cybersecurity operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the readiness of our Security Operations Center (SOC) to detect and respond to emerging threats.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee Daily Operations: Lead the daily operations of the SOC team, ensuring seamless execution of tasks and processes.
  • Threat Detection and Response: Develop and implement strategies to detect and respond to emerging threats, ensuring the integrity of customer data sources and their integration with SOC tools.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and propose initiatives to enhance SOC operations, ensuring compliance and operational objectives are met.
  • Incident Response: Lead security incident response processes, including forensic analysis, and ensure business continuity.
  • Team Management: Supervise, train, and develop the SOC team, promoting professional growth and ensuring the team is equipped to meet the demands of the role.
  • Collaboration and Integration: Manage relationships with cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless integration and effective communication.
Requirements
  • Experience: Demonstrable experience in SOC management, with a strong background in managed detection and response.
  • Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of security threats, SOAR platforms, and cloud services, including Microsoft 365.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications, such as CISSP, CCSP, CASP, CISM, GSLC, and GCIH.
  • Language: Professional proficiency in English (C1).
