About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Compliance Data Specialist to join our International Indirect Tax Compliance team in Barcelona. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and analyzing complex data sets to support our tax compliance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support tax initiatives from a project management and data perspective, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of results.
  • Collaborate with technology partners to innovate and maintain complex business and data solutions.
  • Perform process analysis to design or redesign multiple integrated process workflows and process issues to ensure that Amazon processes are state of the art and efficient.
  • Implement projects to optimize data operations and reduce manual work.
  • Work with our key technology providers to support technology upgrades, migrations, and other initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications.
  • Experience working in a large public accounting firm or multi-national corporate tax department.
  • Preferred qualifications include experience maintaining and operating transaction tax calculation software (e.g. Vertex).
