About the Role:
As a Senior Solar Project Developer for Spain, you will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and executing utility-scale solar opportunities to develop, build, and operate solar projects in Spain. Your primary focus will be on building and managing your own development team to take projects from the land acquisition stage through the permitting process to obtaining the ready-to-build status.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implementation, development, and follow-up of development strategy on the Spanish market
- Building and managing your own development team
- Conducting full permitting process for the Spanish market
- Supervising negotiations and bringing new opportunities
- Project development for permitting processes before administration and utilities
- Overseeing renewable energy project management of the team
- Negotiating and securing lease agreements
- Researching regulatory framework to identify best business development options
Requirements:
- 3 years+ solar project permitting experience
- Experience in site assessment, grid and construction permitting, and grid connection processes
- Fluency in Spanish and English
- In-depth solar energy sector knowledge and legal aspects of the permitting process
- Bachelor's degree
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Focused and goal-oriented
