Job Summary:
TRS Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced Architectural Building Specialist to join our team in Germany. As an Architectural Building Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring that EPC contractors adhere to project specifications, standards, and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Review and Coordination
- Review and approve architectural designs, ensuring compliance with project specifications, local regulations, and industry standards.
- Coordinate with other disciplines (mechanical, electrical, civil, HVAC, etc.) to ensure architectural aspects are integrated seamlessly.
- Verify that designs and materials meet quality standards and project requirements.
- Regularly inspect construction activities related to architectural elements, ensuring they are in accordance with approved designs and specifications.
- Ensure the EPC contractors comply with building codes, health and safety regulations, and environmental laws.
- Identify and resolve design and construction issues that arise, providing technical support and guidance to contractors.
- Track the progress of architectural work against the project schedule, identifying potential delays and working with the EPC contractor to mitigate them.
- Monitor the allocation of resources, including materials and manpower, to ensure efficient use and avoid delays.
- Review and approval/rejection of EPC Contractor claims and variations.
- Oversee the quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) processes, including inspections and testing of architectural components.
- Ensure proper documentation of inspections, tests, and any modifications or deviations from the original design.
- Act as a liaison between the owner, EPC contractor, and other stakeholders, ensuring clear and consistent communication.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on the status of architectural works, including progress updates, issues identified, and solutions implemented.
- Participate in project meetings, including coordination meetings, progress meetings, and safety meetings.
- Support the acquisition of necessary permits and ensure all architectural works comply with local and national building codes and regulations.
- Ensure that the architectural aspects of the project meet environmental regulations and sustainability standards.
- Ensure all architectural construction activities adhere to safety protocols and standards, promoting a safe work environment.
- Identify potential risks associated with architectural works and implement measures to mitigate them.
- Participate in final inspections and walkthroughs to ensure that all architectural work is completed to the required standards.
- Prepare and review handover documentation for architectural components, including as-built drawings and operation manuals.
Requirements:
- Degree in Architecture or related field.
- Extensive experience in architectural design and construction, preferably in industrial projects like LNG facilities.
- Strong knowledge of German building codes, regulations, and standards, as well as international standards (e.g., ISO, EN).
- Proficiency in both German and English for effective communication.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Project Management, LEED, etc.) may be advantageous.
