The hotel features comfortable rooms, two pools, and a gym. Meeting spaces are fully equipped and can accommodate up to 800 people. Our service focuses on meeting guest needs to ensure a memorable stay in Barcelona.
Barcelona, known as the city of Gaudí, is a modern metropolis with a rich history and culture. The Sofitel hotel is situated opposite Barceloneta, its most famous beach, and within walking distance of the Gothic Quarter, a main tourist attraction. It's well-connected to the airport and train station.
Job DescriptionAs a Financial Services Assistant, you will be responsible for auditing daily income received and ensuring all relevant revenues, such as room sales, food and beverage, and other sources, are accurately recorded in our accounting system.
You will support the income audit process, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes. Your duties will also include reconciling revenue and payments registered in the Property Management System (PMS) with bank account receivables.
You will prepare management reports on an ad-hoc basis and review incoming invoices for accuracy. Additionally, you will book invoices to the correct cost center and General Ledger account with the correct VAT codes.
Your responsibilities will include preparing and processing electronic transfers and payments, handling supplier emails and phone calls, and supporting the team during the month-end process.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you should have excellent knowledge of Spanish and English languages. You don't need to be a specialist, but you should be eager to learn and willing to take on new challenges.
A current enrollment in a Hospitality School or General Business School is preferred. Proactive, enthusiastic, and detail-oriented individuals with good communication skills are encouraged to apply.
