Nutreco, a leading global provider of innovative aquafeed solutions and animal nutrition, is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing safe and reliable operations through the application of automation and electrical engineering expertise.
Responsibilities:
- Apply automation and electrical engineering expertise to optimize process control systems and ensure safe and reliable operations.
- Collaborate with the Operations Technology Manager to identify automation development opportunities and share best practices.
- Design, specify, program, simulate, and test automation and control systems.
- Develop automation standards and guidelines aligned with Nutreco's global standards.
- Create replicable automation templates and solutions for use in diverse locations and projects.
- Provide troubleshooting support and perform root cause analyses for production issues, proposing preventative measures.
- Support new project design, installation, and commissioning, including travel for testing in vendor facilities.
- Maintain the entire process control system and develop automation projects for new facilities, as well as implementing improvements in existing ones.
Requirements:
- Industrial or Industrial Automatic and Electronic Engineering degree, or at least a bachelor's degree in electrical, electronic, mechanical, or computer engineering.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in implementing automation projects following ISA-88 and ISA-95 standards.
- Proficiency in automatic process control for both continuous and batch processes.
- Ability to work as a team and collaborate with other departments. Good communication skills, teamwork, and passion for technology.
- Languages: Spanish and high-level spoken and written English (minimum B2).
