Job Title: Interim Senior Manager of Taxation

Job Summary:

Alliance Resource Group is seeking an experienced Interim Senior Manager of Taxation to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing tax expertise and guidance to our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns and month-end close process.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with third-party tax advisors and manage all external tax requests.
  • Stay up-to-date with new pronouncements and ongoing trends that will affect tax planning activities for the company.
  • Ensure tax liabilities, reports, and files are accurate and tax payments are filed in a timely manner.
  • Provide routine communication to management on all tax matters for the firm.
  • Design and implement controls to ensure the Company's tax liabilities and financial statements are accurate and in compliance with local and state laws as well as GAAP.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Prior Public accounting tax experience required (Big 4 preferred).
  • 7+ years of total experience required.
  • Experience with partnership taxation.
  • Strong understanding of federal and multi-state corporate income taxation.
