**Job Summary**

Our client, a dynamic and fast-paced publicly-traded tech company, is seeking an experienced Tax Director to join their team on an interim basis for a period of three months or more. Due to an unexpected departure, the company requires a talented professional to assist with managing third-party tax advisors, preparing for year-end, and handling tax duties and responsibilities.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Oversee and support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns and month-end close process.
  • Act as the primary point of contact with third-party tax advisors and manage all external tax requests.
  • Stay up-to-date with new pronouncements and ongoing trends affecting tax planning activities for the company.
  • Ensure tax liabilities, reports, and files are accurate and tax payments are filed in a timely manner.
  • Provide routine communication to management on all tax matters for the firm.
  • Design and implement controls to ensure the Company's tax liabilities and financial statements are accurate and in compliance with local and state laws as well as GAAP.

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Prior public accounting tax experience required (Big 4 preferred).
  • 7+ years of total experience required.
  • Experience with partnership taxation.
  • Strong understanding of federal and multi-state corporate income taxation.
