Job Title: Workday Financial Systems Accountant
The Workday Financial Systems Accountant will play a critical role in the administration, maintenance, and optimization of the Workday Financials system. This individual will work closely with finance, Enterprise Technology, and other cross-functional teams to ensure that the system meets business requirements and operates smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the Workday Financials system, including configuration, integrations, security, and data integrity to ensure a well-controlled and documented system environment.
- Provide day-to-day technical expertise to support and troubleshoot for Workday Financials users.
- Collaborate with finance and other departments to gather requirements and implement system enhancements.
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytics within Workday Financials.
- Monitor system performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and user experience.
- Stay up-to-date with Workday updates and new features, and manage the implementation of relevant changes.
- Conduct training sessions and create documentation for end-users to ensure effective system utilization.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Participate in system audits and assist with resolving any identified issues, including reviews with external auditors.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Workday Financials systems accountant.
- Strong understanding of financial processes and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Workday Financials modules, including but not limited to General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Financial Reporting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Workday certification in Financials (preferred).
