Job Description:
As a Packaging Sourcing Manager at Fagron GmbH & Co. KG, you will be responsible for creating and implementing a category strategy for packaging materials. This includes leading and evaluating RFI/RFP processes, providing bid award recommendations, and ensuring successful supplier transitions. You will also develop and execute fully integrated category strategy plans that meet organizational objectives and ESG goals. Additionally, you will maintain continuous in-depth knowledge of market conditions, industry trends, and developing new technologies. Your role will involve building relationships with key manufacturers and suppliers, negotiating the best conditions for Fagron, and delivering at least 3% YoY savings. You will work closely with the quality department to ensure that the products you source meet the required standards.
Requirements:
- Minimum bachelor's degree in business administration, procurement & supply chain or other related degrees in pharmaceuticals or chemistry
- CIPS, APICS or CPSM highly desirable
- Desired skills and behavior: interpersonal skills, creativity, project management, customer-oriented, excellent commercial skills, analytical competency, knowledge on logistics operations of highly regulated materials, ability to lead cross-functional teams, understanding of GMP
- 5+ years of work experience in the pharmaceutical or chemical industry
- 5+ years of category sourcing management
- Experience in procurement of packaging
- Fluent in English. Other languages like Portuguese or Spanish are considered an advantage
