About the Role

Amadeus is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Insights Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Competitive Intelligence team, you will be responsible for delivering strategic insights and recommendations to empower Amadeus Top Management to make informed decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor industry trends and perform competitive deep dives to track key developments in our direct and indirect competition base.
  • Define risks that these developments carry for Amadeus and validate assessment with relevant stakeholders.
  • Define if a competitive deep dive is required and agree on who should manage the deep dive (Competitive Intelligence, client team...).
  • Define scope of deep dive with client team and identify relevant stakeholders to include in deep dive.
Common Accountabilities
  • Has the required technical/functional knowledge and experience in own discipline.
  • Knowledge of the Amadeus business and how it is related to own area.
  • Works using existing procedures or guidelines and provides inputs to support/influence area decisions.
  • Makes recommendations on new solutions and proposes improvements by analyzing different sources of information.
Specific Accountabilities
  • Define the scope and deliverables in cooperation with internal client and the Strategy Manager/Senior Strategy Manager.
  • Ensure and support the project using best practices, working with resources from Corporate Strategy, Business Units (BUs), internal support functions, and external sources of knowledge.
  • Ensure that their parts of studies are carried out according to commitments to internal customer.
  • Present and/or contribute in preparing findings and recommendations to appropriate decision groups (Business Units, Executive Committee (ExCom)).
  • Ensure that customer satisfaction is monitored and kept as high as possible.
About You
  • Preferred Background: Relevant fields such as Economy, Business, Marketing, or Engineering.
  • Presentation skills: Deliver the message in a clear and organized manner, create engaging PowerPoint presentations (PPT), and use storytelling techniques.
  • Data mining: Find key insights from large data sets using tools like Excel (XLS), statistical tools, Qlik, and Qlik script.
  • Curiosity and commitment to business understanding, including financial skills such as budget management, product Profit and Loss (P&L), and capitalization.
  • Communication and empathy: Align with people from diverse backgrounds to achieve common goals, pass messages effectively, and listen actively.
  • Project Management: Problem solving, task management, time management, follow-up, team engagement, managing expectations, result-oriented, autonomy, and decision making.
