About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled ATC ERTMS On Board Design Engineer to join our team in Madrid. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing fully functional ATC On-Board System Descriptions and Installation Proposals, working closely with teams across the business to ensure seamless integration with other systems.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement ATC On-Board System Designs, ensuring compliance with project-specific requirements and standards.
  • Collaborate with RAM, Safety, and V&V teams to ensure accurate communication of design requirements and decisions.
  • Work on system design, architecture, and interfaces, ensuring optimal performance and functionality.
  • Manage technical issues, configuration, and change control, ensuring smooth project execution.
  • Take ownership of system performance, allocating project performance requirements and ensuring they are met.
  • Collect and maintain technical data, ensuring accuracy and up-to-dateness.
  • Participate in Gate Reviews, providing status updates on system activities.
  • Support ATC ONB current and future projects, contributing to their success.
About You

We value passion and attitude over experience. To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A university degree in engineering related to electric, electronic, or automation processes.
  • 1-2 years of experience as an Onboard Railways Engineer or similar in other markets.
  • Desirable: Technical knowledge of signalling, ERTMS, CBTC, TCMS, MVB, ATP, ATO, SIFA, system design, installation design, installation verification, and data preparation.
  • Desirable: Knowledge of UNISIG Subsets, especially Subset-026, 108, 027, and 076.
  • Fluent English, with mastery in reading and writing.
  • French is desirable.
  • Proficiency in Windows environment (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
  • CAD application usage is an advantage.
