About the Role:
Tecnatom S.A.U. is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Nuclear Product development team in San Sebastián de los Reyes. As a key member of our Mechanical Design group, you will play a crucial role in the specification, mechanical design, development, setup, and validation of new inspection systems and their prototypes, as well as the maintenance and evolution of existing ones.
Main Responsibilities:
- Integrate into a development team to design and develop new inspection systems and their prototypes, ensuring high-quality and performance.
- Lead the development process, supporting other mechanical engineers (internal and contractors) and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
- Document all activities according to existing procedures.
- Carry out tests and diagnostics at customer nuclear plants and other facilities.
Requirements:
- Academic background in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum five years of experience as a mechanical design engineer, with knowledge in manufacturing, assembly, pneumatics, and basic electronics and control systems.
- Advanced knowledge of 3D design tools, specifically PTC Creo.
- Minimum level of English B1, according to the CEFR, with a higher level and other languages valued for international projects.
- Excellent communication skills and experience working in multidisciplinary teams.
- Availability to make frequent trips to inspection sites, both nationally and internationally.
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of PLM systems, especially PTC Windchill.
- Experience in finite element calculations, preferably ANSYS.
- 3D printing experience.
- Demonstrable previous experience in the design of automatic systems.
- Knowledge of Non-Destructive Testing.
