We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Reliability Engineer to join our team at Sabic Americas, Inc. as a Route Cause Analysis (RCA) expert. The successful candidate will be responsible for building capability within the organization to eliminate defects and improve learning from incidents.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate efficient and effective RCAs to deliver a continuous improvement of the reliability performance of our assets.
- Coach and mentor the RCA team, manage their roles and responsibilities, and ensure quality RCAs and follow-up on recommendations and gap closure plans.
- Report status of RCA recommendations to the Leadership team and ensure close cooperation with different departments across Sabic.
- Act as the site RCA focal point and ensure proactive RCA studies based on common theme analysis.
- Bachelor and/or Master's Degree in Process Engineering or equivalent, with several years of experience in the chemical industry.
- Excellent conceptual, communication, and analytical skills, with fluency in German and English.
- Minimum 3+ years of industrial RCA experience and/or similar position(s), with proficiency in IT systems and experience working in a multicultural environment.
- Attitude of compliance with legal, regulatory, and SABIC internal requirements.
- Ability to effectively communicate and engage with different stakeholders, internally and externally.
- High motivation and interest in process engineering and asset reliability.
- High sense of responsibility, self-organization skills, and proactivity.
- Strong and cooperative team player with natural leadership skills.
