Job Title: Lead Engineer Sustainability

Sabic Polyolefine GmbH is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Engineer Sustainability to join our Technical department in Gelsenkirchen, Germany.

Job Purpose and Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of sustainability and energy strategies to improve our site's performance and reduce our environmental impact. This will involve working closely with various stakeholders, including EHSS, Operations, and Global Sustainability Network, to identify and develop opportunities for improvement.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of sustainability and energy management principles, as well as experience in developing and implementing energy-efficient solutions. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Develop and implement sustainability and energy strategies to improve site performance and reduce environmental impact
  • Work closely with stakeholders to identify and develop opportunities for improvement
  • Develop and implement energy-efficient solutions to reduce energy consumption and costs
  • Monitor and report on sustainability and energy performance metrics
  • Provide training and support to site personnel on sustainability and energy best practices
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Supply Engineering or a related field
  • At least 5-8 years of experience in sustainability and energy management
  • Strong understanding of sustainability and energy management principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Location:

Gelsenkirchen, Germany

Travel:

Up to 10% (regionally) and globally (if required)
