We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Static Equipment Engineer to join our Asset Engineering team at Sabic Americas, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring static asset performance, predicting equipment failures, and proactively addressing them through effective equipment strategy.
Key Responsibilities- Investigate and analyze static equipment failures to identify root causes and develop recommendations for improvement.
- Perform technical studies and coordinate with the Inspection department and Operations and Maintenance teams to ensure optimal static equipment performance.
- Develop and implement static equipment integrity strategies, including RBI and RCM methodologies.
- Support project and turnaround scope development, review, and execution for all static equipment.
- Provide technical expertise in evaluating potential corrosion and materials issues related to static equipment.
- Implement best practices, technical alerts, and SABIC Manufacturing Standards for static equipment.
- Contribute to the development of PM strategies for static equipment in alignment with the Inspection department.
- Develop and lead CDP preparation as a team member.
- Participate in or utilize virtual domains supports on special topics related to static equipment as required.
- Contribute technical expertise in team workshops, such as RCA, RCM, PHA, and MOC Committee.
- Stay up-to-date with legal requirements related to static equipment.
- Bachelor or Master Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of reliability, maintenance, and/or engineering experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, and/or energy production industry.
- Strong knowledge in integrity analysis tools and methodologies for static equipment.
- Knowledge in international codes and standards, especially on advanced technology, corrosion, and metallurgy.
- Knowledge on welding, material, corrosion, and damage mechanism in petrochemical industries.
- Risk-based analytical mindset and experience in facilitation and chairing of multi-disciplinary meetings.
- Excellent analytical, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Flexible and pragmatic approach to realize company targets.
- Strong sense of ownership and ability to work together in a team and across multiple departments.
