Job Description

The Regional Network & Communication Information Security Specialist role is a key position within the Holcim EMEA Digital Center, responsible for ensuring the security of network and communication services across the EMEA region. This specialist will integrate best practices from IT/Cybersecurity and OT Technologies into daily operations, focusing on the Cement plants sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in deploying policies within the IT/OT framework to ensure seamless integration.
  • Participate in delivering activities related to IT/OT convergence projects, providing L1/L2/L3 support for network and communication security services.
  • Isolate cement plants' networks from office networks by implementing 'bridge' firewalls and network segments according to the Holcim Security Standard.
  • Maintain industrial firewalls, ensuring they are hardened, automated, and configured for maximum efficiency.
  • Provide periodic support to cement plant managers or local internal control teams on information sharing to fulfill Minimum Control Standards in the OT environment.
  • Create network segmentation within OT networks to ensure automation network availability.
  • Monitor IT/OT networks for security threats or unauthorized users, providing top-notch technical expertise.
  • Be a key stakeholder in security projects within the department.
  • Offer technical support for operational issues related to network and communication services.
  • Automate the environment to proactively improve security service delivery.
  • Deploy relevant monitoring tools and ensure proactive corrections and fast incident resolution.
  • Leverage and maintain suitable tools for configuration management and capacity planning.
  • Ensure efficient collaboration with Delivery, Security, EUS, I&O, and other IT Services teams.
  • Guarantee consistent and up-to-date technology and security skills.
  • Work with external suppliers to source hardware and software solutions for network security issues.
  • Deploy, test, and maintain security systems such as VPNs, firewalls, and email security.
  • Ensure current network system security meets future Holcim requirements.
  • Identify compromised machines and report security measures taken to address threats.
  • Analyze security risks and develop response procedures.
  • Develop and test software deployment tools, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
  • Create security documentation for users, assist in disaster recovery, and gather evidence regarding cybercrimes.
  • Work proactively on root cause analysis, problem solving, and standard operating procedures creation.
  • Conduct regular security audits and prepare security status reports.
  • Ensure Service Level commitments are respected by monitoring main KPIs.
  • Follow and enforce security, internal control, and standardization principles defined by the Group and regional teams.
  • Work on efficient transfer of delivered services into the run organization (service introduction)

Position Requirements

  • Graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline with an IT focus and professional industry certification.
  • At least 6 years of experience in IT, with experience in networking systems, information technology, or network security.
  • Advanced Professional certification in network domain (CCNA, CCNP, CCSP) is a plus, as well as AWS Certified Advanced Networking.

Language Skills

  • Excellent English (written & spoken).
  • Other languages (Arabic, French, etc.) in the EMEA region are a plus.

Mobility requirements (time spent traveling internationally, nationally, etc.): 10%
