Job Title: Senior Language Expansion Engineer for Siri and Information Intelligence
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Language Expansion Engineer to join our Siri Response team at Apple. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in driving product impact via measurement and evaluation, for products and services used by hundreds of millions of people globally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement end-to-end solutions for Siri's voice and language capabilities, ensuring seamless user experiences across multiple locales.
- Collaborate with engineering partners to design, build, and optimize machine learning models for text-to-speech and acoustic processing.
- Design and implement tools for analyzing errors and systemic issues in Siri voices, driving improvements in quality and user satisfaction.
- Work closely with data scientists and engineers to drive projects of varying sizes and scopes, ensuring successful delivery and high-quality results.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring effective collaboration and alignment.
Requirements:
- Master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in text-to-speech, speech recognition, NLP, or related fields.
- Strong foundation in building tools and frameworks using PyTorch/Tensorflow for AI/ML applications.
- Expertise in programming languages such as Python.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
