Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Aerospace Engineering Technician to join our team at Jet Aviation Ag. As a key member of our engineering department, you will play a critical role in supporting our mechanical design team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality engineering solutions.
Main Responsibilities
- Support mechanical technical leads and engineers in feasibility studies and investigations during the quotation phase.
- Collaborate with engineers to perform technical aircraft surveys, including scoping, pictures, dimensions, and 3D scanning.
- Develop engineering 3D models and 2D drawings for mechanical parts, assemblies, and installation drawings, ensuring compliance with engineering mechanical design rules, best practices, and processes.
- Work closely with system providers, electrical, stress, production engineering, certification, and other key stakeholders to ensure design compliance.
- Provide support to manufacturing and installation teams, including design changes and concessions.
- Familiarize yourself with general mechanical design rules, including machined parts, sheet metal parts, and various mechanical assemblies.
- Have a strong understanding of aircraft primary and secondary structure, with a focus on metallic parts; composites are a plus.
Requirements
- Diploma: Grado Medio/Grado Superior.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in aerospace engineering.
- Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD tools (preferably Siemens NX) and PLM systems (preferably Siemens Teamcenter).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, stressful environment.
- Language: English (mandatory).
