As a Business Planning and Data Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting our business planning and analysis functions, providing data-driven insights to inform business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, record, and analyze data using established protocols and processes; communicate findings to other team members for review and feedback.
- Utilize historical data to perform requirements analysis and identify trend lines across several data sources within the organization to support decisions.
- Apply predictive analysis and tools to forecast and employ business analytics (including an enhanced ability to quantify and qualify data).
- Utilize the Business Intelligence analytics database to carry out statistical analysis and ad hoc reporting as required.
- Assure accuracy, integrity, and compliance of cleansed data.
- Evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, uncover areas for improvement, and develop and implement solutions.
- Assist in preparation of literature and presentations for peer review, publication, and delivery at industry and scientific events and conferences; create patent applications and supporting documentation.
- Conduct meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline or equivalent experience with interest on data management.
- Work experience is not required, but appropriate internships related to the job content would be a plus.
- Excellent English skills, written and spoken.
Preferred Skills:
- Demonstrated analytical thinking, technical analysis, and data manipulation skills.
- Ability to learn and draw on new analytical techniques.
- Basic knowledge of research methodology.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Excel, Access, statistical analysis, and financial modeling.
- Developing business acumen and technical knowledge within area of responsibility.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic understanding of project management methodology.
- Knowledge on Power BI, or additional databases such as SQL Server and MySQL is preferred. It is also preferable to be familiar with data warehousing, data mining, and data mapping.
