About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Environmental and Permitting Specialist to join our Onshore Development Team in Zaragoza, Spain. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing support to ongoing and new development projects, focusing on permitting and regulatory needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, submit, and manage various types of permit applications
  • Interpret current and future national and local regulations
  • Participate in due diligence processes
  • Prepare client overviews of development status, including risk investment
  • Interface with clients, government regulators, other contractors, and representatives
Requirements
  • Relevant education, such as a bachelor's degree in engineering, meteorology, environmental studies, or a closely related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in the development of energy projects
  • Experience in interfacing with national and local authorities, municipalities, and agencies
  • Demonstrated experience in preparing and submitting compliance reports for water concession, environmental authorization, urban compatibility, etc.
  • Demonstrated experience in obtaining relevant permits for chemical plants
  • Expertise in analyzing and interpreting prevailing regulations
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact across multiple business units and stakeholders
  • Highly proficient English skills - written and verbal

You should be able to work with multiple tasks and strict deadlines, and have a strong ability to communicate and navigate in a knowledge domain between technical and commercial topics.

  • Possess relevant education
  • Minimum 5 years' experience from the development of energy projects
  • Experience in interfacing with national and local authorities, municipalities, and agencies

  • Demonstrated experience in obtaining relevant permits
  • Expertise in analyzing and interpreting prevailing regulations
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact across multiple business units and stakeholders
