Senior Environmental Consultant

Environmental Resources Management (ERM) is seeking a highly skilled Senior Environmental Consultant to join our Capital Project Delivery team in Spain.

This full-time, hybrid role offers the opportunity to work from our Madrid or Barcelona office and remotely.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop pre-feasibility and environmental & social impact assessment studies, permitting studies, and EDD (mainly focused on the Italian market).
  • Manage environmental critical aspects to ensure compliance with all applicable Spanish regulations.
  • Collaborate across a range of services and sectors, including Energy (Renewables, Power, Oil & Gas, H2), Infrastructure, CCSU, and Manufacturing.
  • Support project management, including proposal development, project coordination, and team supervision.
  • Establish strong working relationships with clients through project delivery.
  • Contribute to commercial activities, such as business development, proposal writing, and pitching.
About You:
  • A master's degree in Environmental Engineering or Environmental Sciences or other relevant disciplines.
  • Experience as a project manager and revenue generator.
  • 4-6 years of experience in relevant fields, such as consulting or environmental services, with a focus on environmental permitting, EIA, and/or Environmental Social Due Diligence in Spain.
  • Proficiency in Spanish and English, written and spoken.
  • Familiarity with International Standards (IFC, EBRD, etc.).
  • Experience with emerging energy systems (hydrogen, offshore wind, battery storage, floating solar) is a plus.
