**Job Overview:**

This role is part of our quality assurance team responsible for ensuring software used by insurance market professionals meets high standards.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Perform manual testing in complex areas across the application with attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Own small-to-medium features from test case design through implementation to completion with guidance from senior team members.
  • Design moderately complex test cases and conduct exploratory testing to find defects promptly.
  • Provide accurate estimates for yourself and others, and identify solutions to issues blocking testing with minimal assistance.
  • Review test cases executed by less experienced testers, and review User Stories and testable requirements providing feedback.
  • Log and track defects in your area, and proactively engage with analysts to gain business knowledge.
  • Participate in sprint planning and retrospective meetings to provide a QA perspective, and collaborate with developers to understand new features and potential testing challenges.
  • Mentor junior QA testers and provide guidance on testing best practices, and contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and methodologies.

**Requirements:**

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A proven track record in similar roles with analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with insurance business processes, and ability to communicate complex issues clearly.
  • Proficiency in SQL scripting, SQL server, and data modeling, and an innovative approach to new and challenging situations.
  • The ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively, and a willingness to learn from experience to identify potential problems and solutions.

**Compensation:** The estimated salary for this role is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
