Join our Data Engineering team as a Staff Engineer and take on the challenge of re-architecting the Tracking framework to increase accuracy.

About the Role

We're looking for a seasoned software engineer with expertise in backend technologies, including Python, Kotlin/Java, and Go. You'll work alongside a team of data engineers, software engineers, and a PM dedicated to Tracking to rethink and re-architect the framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand the general architecture of our web platforms and identify pain points where tracking may be different or difficult to transmit information between codebases.
  • Design an implementation framework that matches the technical reality of all CUs and proposes solutions to identified pain points.
  • Work with the chief data officer and engineering managers to implement the framework and coordinate potential changes required to improve tracking accuracy.
  • Audit the implementation of GA4 and provide guidance on leveraging its value.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 7+ years of professional experience in software development with expertise in backend technologies.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, integrating them into applications, and testing automation.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD processes, cloud native solutions, and AWS.
  • Passion for architecting, building, and scaling distributed systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
