Configuration Management Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Configuration Management Specialist to join our team at Deimos. As a key member of our systems engineering team, you will play a critical role in establishing and coordinating configuration management policy, procedures, and tools.

Main Responsibilities:

• Support Project Office and Product Assurance Areas: Develop and implement configuration management policies, procedures, and tools to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Develop and Maintain Documentation: Create, update, and maintain configuration management documentation, including configuration baselines, configuration items, and change control processes.
• Configuration Control Board Support: Assist the Project Manager in defining and maintaining the configuration baseline of projects throughout their lifecycle.
• Engineering Change Control: Support the engineering change control process, including the identification and control of configuration items.
• Configuration Status Reports: Establish and distribute configuration status reports to stakeholders.
• Configuration Audits: Support Product Assurance Managers in performing configuration audits and issuing configuration status accounting reports.
• Document Control: Maintain control of project files, data releases, documents, models, and drawings.
• Documentation Database: Keep the documentation database up to date.

Requirements:

• Education: University degree in engineering disciplines (aerospace, industrial, etc.) or equivalent experience in industrial configuration management.
• Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Configuration Management Specialist or equivalent role.
• Technical Requirements: Knowledge of configuration management processes and standards, experience with Product Data and Product Lifecycle Management (PDM/PLM) tools, and proficiency in programming languages (VBA, Java, C++, HTML, XML, etc.).
• Language Skills: Fluent in English and Spanish, with English as the primary project documentation language.
• Personal Skills: Ability to understand and synthesize complex programmatic information, good communication and organizational skills, positive attitude, responsibility, flexibility, and independence.
