About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Supply Chain Manager to join our team at Michael Page. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing the supply chain operations for a factory, ensuring the smooth progress of negotiations, supplier appointments, and contract execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development of the procurement strategy, in conjunction with the purchasing department, through panel management, supplier consultation, risk management, competition analysis, and trend analysis.
  • Be responsible for the economic performance of commodities on the plant, participate in decision-making bodies, and ensure the achievement of objectives set by projects throughout their life cycle or contract duration.
  • Make decisions on supplier appointments and manage the hierarchical team of buyers, providing guidance, empowerment, and operational support in negotiations and daily activities.
  • Support the progression, development of skills, and evolution of buyers, contributing to HR cycles, including objective definition, contribution review, talent reviews, and training plan development.
  • Contribute to the development of the purchasing business axis by participating in working groups, cross-functional projects, or business clubs, and propose improvements to activities, tools, processes, and operations.
Requirements
  • Intervene on a purchasing perimeter of a factory.
  • Be a line manager of buyers based at the factory.
  • Be autonomous in the daily coordination of buyers' activities.
  • Assume responsibility for the implementation of the strategy and the achievement of objectives.
  • Represent the purchasing department in relation to suppliers and contribute to the validation of supplier appointments.
