About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Intralogistics Design Engineer at Mygwork, an inclusive employer and a member of the LGBTQ+ business community. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in designing the next generation of world-class fulfillment centers and logistics systems across the globe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to design high-quality, cost-effective solutions for our fulfillment and distribution systems.
  • Own multiple projects simultaneously, from concept realization through design approval.
  • Be the primary point of technical contact for suppliers and hand-off projects to the Ops Engineering team for installation and commissioning.
  • Support the Ops Engineering team to ensure successful installation, commissioning, and launch of designed systems.

Project Scope

Your projects may include green-fields, brown-fields, and retrofits, including highly automated fulfillment centers, cross-dock facilities, and transportation centers. You will work on a variety of template-based and designed-from-scratch projects.

Team Environment

You will be part of a highly skilled and engaged team of engineers working in a fast-paced and often ambiguous environment. Our team works on hundreds of projects each year, providing opportunities for growth and learning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (any discipline) or foreign equivalent or 5+ years Amazon experience.
  • Experience in Design/Innovation Engineering, Manufacturing/Process/Industrial Engineering, or related.
  • Experience must involve ownership/management of engineering design projects.
  • Experience using business/technical software like MS Excel, MS Project, and CAD software.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Engineering (any discipline) or foreign equivalent, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field and at least five years of progressively responsible experience in the specialty.
  • Experience with complex automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, robotics, and/or high-speed manufacturing.
  • Experience with process design based on Lean Principles.
  • Proficiency with concepts like system architecture, optimization, system dynamics, system analysis, statistical analysis, reliability analysis, and decision making.
  • Ability to travel 20%, including globally.
