As a Layout Senior Artist at Skydance, you will play a crucial role in generating the previz of our films in accordance with our established storytelling guidelines to showcase how characters and environments appear on camera.
Key Responsibilities- Construct and Visualize Scenes: Utilize 3D space to create a visual run-through of sets, providing a clear understanding of the cinematic aspects of each scene.
- Communicate the Story: Collaborate with the team to bring the storyboards to life, ensuring a cohesive and engaging narrative.
- Support the Team: Provide guidance, instruction, and support to team members, contributing to their artistic and professional growth.
- Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Trends: Continuously update your knowledge of current artistic methodologies and technology trends to maintain a strong creative and technical environment.
- Manage Your Work: Effectively break down scenes and manage your workload to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
- Experience in VFX or Animation: A minimum of 5 years of experience in the VFX or animation industries.
- Strong Artistic and Technical Skills: Possess a strong artistic or technical aptitude related to 3D animation.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in using elements to stage camera blocking, knowledge of photography and storytelling, and experience with Maya and non-linear editing tools such as Premiere, Hiero, and DaVinci Resolve.
- Language Skills: A high level of English proficiency is desirable, with Spanish also being a plus.
