Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Grid Codes Engineer to join our Grid Code Solutions department. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring grid connection market compatibility of our new turbines, including developing grid performance concepts, ensuring market transparency, and identifying grid relevant product requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Grid Connection Expertise
- Develop and implement grid performance concepts to ensure market compatibility of new turbines.
- Ensure market transparency and identify grid relevant product requirements.
- Identify testing needs for grid performance validation and develop analytics tools for grid code evaluations and assessments.
- Engage with stakeholders to ensure the entire value chain is considered.
- Drive the topic of grid codes and make decisions about tool roadmap.
- Represent Siemens Gamesa in Grid forums (standards, international committees, etc.) to influence future regulations and develop products with the best LCOE.
- Master's degree in electrical engineering or similar with a focus on power engineering / grid connection.
- At least 10 years of working experience in the renewable energy industry.
- Excellent English language skills, both written and spoken.
- Experience with PSCAD, DigSilent, and/or Matlab.
- Ability to interact with stakeholders high and low in the organization as well as external stakeholders.
