We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Air Gateway Manager to join our EU Air Ground Operations Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing third-party ground handling agents, identifying, designing, developing, and executing new processes, goals, and solutions that increase delivery efficiency, reduce errors, decrease costs, and improve air ground operations.
Key Responsibilities- Manage Day-to-Day Relationship with 3P Partners: Ensure the 3P management, in terms of operation performance, quality, security, and customer satisfaction.
- Optimize Capacity: Look for innovative solutions to optimize capacity in a consistent way.
- Build and Execute Productivity Plans: Review work forecasts, determine productivity requirements, and partner with 3P partners to balance labor.
- Monitor Ramp Handling Process Performance: If applicable, monitor the ramp handling process performance.
- Proactively Monitor Operational Activity: Identify, address, and prevent potential disruptions. Problem-solve for closing gaps between performance and goals.
- Collaborate with ACES/Quality Teams: Develop, manage, and grow the Air operations quality management and continuous improvement programs.
- Generate and Understand Performance Metrics: Drive business results by generating and understanding performance metrics.
- Identify and Lead Process Improvement Initiatives: Use lean tools to identify and lead process improvement initiatives.
- Partner with Internal Business Partners: Collaborate with air carrier management, safety, security, technology, legal, and training.
- Communicate Effectively: Communicate effectively with both external (Service Providers) and internal (Safety, Finance, Technology, Legal, HR) customers.
- Navigate Ambiguity: Manage and coordinate multiple project assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, accepting ownership and accountability of the process and delivering on commitments.
- Bachelor's Degree: In business, operations management, engineering, aviation, or a related field.
- 3+ Years of Experience: In operations management, transportation, or a related field.
- Valid Passport: Must hold a valid passport and be willing to travel. Domestic and international travel required up to 25% of the time.
- Master's Degree: In Business Administration, Engineering, or Operations Management, or a related field.
- Experience in Airline Ground or Flight Operations: Experience in the airline ground or flight operations, or air freight industry is a plus.
- Developing or Managing Complex Logistical Processes: Developing or managing complex logistical processes.
- Language Skills: Must be an Italian and/or French speaking candidate, plus fluent English speaker.
