Key Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will be part of a dedicated team focused on Surveillance Systems, addressing areas such as Enhanced Vision (HUD, HMD, EFVS, SVS), Anti-collision (TCAS, XPDR), Military Identification (IFF), Terrain Awareness (TAWS), Weather Radar (WxR), and Emergency Locators (ELT) across various Airbus Defence and Space programs.
The Surveillance Domain is currently evolving with numerous innovations driven by trends like digitalization and autonomy, while ensuring the highest standards of Safety and Security.
Our mission is to enhance Identification and Situation Awareness capabilities that fulfill operators' requirements by developing cutting-edge Surveillance Architectures and Capabilities, all while contributing to Environmental Sustainability.
As a successful candidate, your primary duties will include:
- Conducting feasibility studies for new products and user requirements.
- Allocating these requirements to the Avionics/Surveillance System.
- Managing requirements; creating and maintaining the Requirements Verification Traceability Matrix (RVTM).
- Defining the Architecture and Specifications of the Avionics/Surveillance System.
- Preparing engineering design documentation.
- Supporting test campaign planning, test procedures, and facilities.
- Analyzing test results and releasing test analysis and correlation reports post-testing.
- Overseeing Avionics/Surveillance Systems integration activities.
- Assisting throughout the design process, including design review meetings.
- Supporting Certification and Qualification processes.
- Contributing to Technical Publications (AFM, FCOM, etc.).
- Collaborating with transversal areas such as Services, Production, and Procurement.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
We seek candidates with the following qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in Systems Engineering or Avionics System development, particularly in Surveillance and Navigation Systems.
- A degree in Aeronautical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
- Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methods and tools (e.g., MATLAB).
- Familiarity with Surveillance, Air Data, and Navigation systems.
- Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Open-minded, agile, pragmatic, and eager to tackle new challenges.
- Analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficiency in both Spanish and English (negotiation level).
- Innovation-oriented and business-driven mindset.
- International experience is a plus.
- A collaborative mindset.
