Job Opportunity:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Avionics Surveillance Systems Engineer to join the Avionics-Surveillance domain at Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe, Madrid.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be part of a team responsible for the development of Surveillance Systems, including Enhanced Vision, Anti-collision, Military Identification, Terrain Awareness, Weather Radar, and Emergency Locators across all Airbus Defence and Space program lines.

As a Surveillance Systems Engineer, you will participate in the technical design and development of Surveillance Systems, including feasibility studies, requirement management, architecture and specifications, engineering design documentation, test campaign sequencing, and test procedures.

Requirements:

Between 3 and 5 years of experience in Systems Engineering or development of Avionics Systems, preferably within Surveillance and Navigation Systems.

Chartered Aeronautical Engineering degree or equivalent.

Past experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methods and tools.

Knowledge of Surveillance, Air Data, and Navigation systems.

Ability to work under strict timescales as part of an integrated and multifunctional team.

Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Strong Spanish and English skills (negotiation level).
