Environmental Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Environmental Consultant to join our team at ERM Group in Spain. As a key member of our Capital Project Delivery team, you will be responsible for managing environmental critical aspects and ensuring compliance with all applicable Spanish regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop Prefeasibility and Environmental & Social Impact Assessment studies, permitting studies, and EDD (mainly focused on the Italian market);
- Manage environmental critical aspects to ensure compliance with all applicable Spanish regulations;
- Collaborate across a range of services and sectors, including Energy (Renewables, Power, Oil & Gas, H2), Infrastructure, CCSU, and Manufacturing;
- Support in managing or coordinating small size projects or whole elements of larger multidisciplinary or global projects;
- Deliver multiple project tasks or components, including the development of proposals;
- Supervise project team(s) and mentor junior personnel;
- Establish strong working relationships with clients through project delivery;
- Support commercial activities: Business Development, proposals writing and pitching.
About You:
- A master degree in Environmental Engineering or Environmental Sciences or other relevant disciplines;
- Experience as a project manager and generating revenues;
- Ideally 4-6 years of experience in relevant fields such as consulting or environmental services, with specific focus on environmental permitting, EIA (Environmental Impact Assessment) and/or Environmental Social Due Diligence, in Spain;
- Proficiency in Spanish and English, written and spoken;
- Familiarity with International Standards (IFC, EBRD, etc.);
- Experience with emerging energy systems (hydrogen, offshore wind, battery storage, floating solar) will be considered a plus.
